Jobber$348 a yearCore, 1 user, billed yearlyJobber figures from Jobber’s pricing page, checked 16 October 2026. Jobber publishes prices in US dollars. Xero and QuickBooks sync starts on Connect ($99 a month for one user, billed yearly).
FieldHive and Jobber both help trade and field service businesses manage customers, quotes, bookings and invoices. But they are built around different ways of working.
FieldHive gives owner-managed trade businesses a focused mobile system for building reusable pricing, sending quotes, booking work, invoicing and taking card payments online. Jobber provides a broader platform for businesses that need separate staff access, team scheduling, route planning, job tracking and time recording now.
FieldHive is not trying to claim it currently has more total features than Jobber. The better question is whether you need all of Jobber’s wider operational tools today — or whether FieldHive’s more focused setup fits the way your business is actually managed.

One person handles the main admin and you want a straightforward system for:
Customers
Reusable trade pricing
Fixed-price, hourly and time-and-materials quotes
Bookings
Invoices
Deposits and progress claims
Paid and unpaid invoice tracking
CIS support
FieldHive gives businesses a focused option when that level of team control is not yet required.
Several people need to work through the software directly and you require:
Separate user access
Individual staff schedules
Job assignment
Route planning
Time tracking
Detailed job records
Wider integrations
You build the customer record once. You create reusable pricing rather than working everything out again. The booking remains connected to the customer and quoted work. The invoice can continue from information already entered.
It can therefore suit a sole trader or a small business where one person controls the pricing, bookings and paperwork.
FieldHive currently operates through one main account, so it suits businesses where the owner or an administrator runs the paperwork.
Jobber can schedule work across multiple users, optimise routes, record staff time, maintain detailed job files and let customers request and book new work online.
That makes Jobber the stronger present-day fit when the system needs to manage each worker separately. FieldHive gives businesses another option when that level of team control is not yet required.
Build Your Pricing Once
Each catalogue item can contain material cost, labour fit time, markup and the final customer price — not just a description and a selling price.
Items can be organised into folders, edited and reused, so the next quote starts from pricing already worked out. An electrician could save a standard double socket installation; a plumber a replacement tap; a landscaper reusable items for fencing, turf or paving.
That keeps pricing consistent and makes it easier to spot when costs, fit times or margins need adjusting.
Quote Different Types of Work Properly
Not every trade job should be priced the same way. FieldHive supports fixed-price, time-and-materials and hourly-rate quotes.
Quotes can use saved catalogue items or manually entered work. Totals are calculated inside the app, and the finished document can be previewed as a PDF and sent to the customer.
AI Quote Rewrite improves the clarity of your wording — it does not decide the price or estimate the work.
Keep Customer Information Together
Each customer gets a central record with contact details, address, notes, quote history and invoice history.
When a customer comes back, you can see what was previously quoted and invoiced without searching through emails, folders or old PDFs — and their history keeps building with every completed job.
Connect Quotes, Bookings and Invoices
A quote can be linked to a booking, and when the work is ready to invoice, the invoice can be created from the quote rather than typed again.
Invoices can also be created manually and displayed as simple, detailed, or materials-and-labour breakdowns. Payment status is recorded as paid or unpaid, so you always know which invoices remain outstanding.
Use Deposits and Progress Claims
FieldHive Business supports deposit invoices, progress claims and final invoicing.
A builder may request a deposit before ordering materials; an electrician may invoice after first fix, second fix and completion; a landscaper may split preparation, installation and finishing. The invoice structure can reflect how the job is actually delivered.
Start Without Paying
FieldHive Free costs £0 per month and includes up to five active quotes plus unlimited invoices, customers, catalogue items and bookings — with PDF documents, your company logo, CIS support, AI Quote Rewrite and 10 AI credits each month.
The limit is based on quotes that remain active, not a monthly allowance. Once a quote is no longer active, it stops counting towards the limit.
Remove the Limit Without Changing Systems
FieldHive Business costs £14.99 per month or £144 per year, adding unlimited quotes, deposits, progress claims, availability indicators, automated quote and invoice reminders, 100 AI credits and removal of FieldHive branding.
Your customers, pricing catalogue and document history all stay in place — the upgrade removes limits without rebuilding your setup somewhere else.
Use the Full App on iPhone or Android
FieldHive is an installable mobile app designed around phone use, not a desktop system shrunk onto a smaller screen. Create quotes, check bookings or send invoices from the van, the customer’s property, a site, the merchant or home.
FieldHive is currently mobile-only. It does not yet provide a desktop or browser version.
Use Trade-Specific UK Support
CIS support is included from the free plan, alongside tax settings, hourly rates, currency and regional settings, company logo and document branding.
FieldHive launched first for the UK market, although the wider product is not positioned as UK-only.
Separate Users and Team Scheduling
Jobber supports individual users, with team calendars, work assignment, route optimisation, GPS-related tracking and availability-based appointment suggestions. Staff can clock in and out of jobs, supporting timesheets and job costing.
FieldHive does not currently provide separate staff accounts, individual engineer schedules or team dispatch.
Detailed Job Records
Workers can update jobs with notes, photos, attachments, checklists, time records and job progress.
This provides more detailed field documentation when several people are involved in completing and managing the work.
Customer Portal
Jobber’s Client Hub allows customers to request work, approve or request changes to quotes, view appointment details, review previous and upcoming visits, and pay invoices and deposits online. It is included on all Jobber plans.
FieldHive now includes its own customer portal on the free plan. Customers open a secure link with no account or app, view quotes and invoices, accept or decline, sign on acceptance, add a PO or reference, comment with photo or PDF attachments, and pay by card when Stripe is connected.
The remaining difference is that Client Hub also lets customers request and book new work online, which FieldHive’s portal does not offer.
Online Payments and Wider Integrations
Jobber supports online card payments in the UK, including Client Hub payments and Tap to Pay, plus more than 100 marketplace connections on Core. QuickBooks Online and Xero syncing is available on Connect and above, but not on the entry Core plan. Job costing sits on higher plans.
FieldHive now takes online card payments through Stripe with a Pay Now link that marks the invoice paid, and includes Xero and QuickBooks Online sync on its free plan.
Jobber still goes further with Tap to Pay in person and its wider app marketplace.

FieldHive Free — £0 per month
Includes five active quotes and unlimited customers, invoices, catalogue items and bookings.
FieldHive Business — £14.99 per month or £144 per year
Adds unlimited quotes, deposits, progress claims, availability indicators and automated reminders.
FieldHive currently operates through one main account, so it does not charge for additional staff users.
Jobber Core currently costs:
$29 per month when billed annually
$39 per month with a one-year monthly commitment
$49 per month with no commitment
Core includes one user. Additional users are currently listed at $29 per month each. Jobber also offers Connect, Grow and Plus plans with wider functions and different included-user options.
The current product begins with the records most owner-managed trade businesses need first: customers, pricing, quotes, bookings and invoices.
As work increases, FieldHive Business removes the quote limit and adds deposits, progress claims, availability information and reminders. The purpose is to let the business begin with useful structure and keep building on the customer history and pricing it has already created.
Jobber already offers separate users, staff schedules, routing, detailed job records and wider reporting.
That makes it the stronger current choice where the business already needs everyone to work through the system.
If the business already needs everyone working through the system, Jobber is the stronger current choice.
It may suit you when
One person controls the quotes and invoices
You want reusable pricing based on materials and fit times
You mainly manage admin from your phone
You need CIS support
You want to start free
Staff do not need separate schedules
You want a focused system without wider operational setup
FIELDHIVE APPROACH
Imagine an electrical business with four people: the owner, two electricians and one apprentice. The owner handles the pricing, quotes, bookings and invoices.
The electricians carry out the work but do not need separate software accounts. FieldHive can manage the main admin for that business through one account.
Jobber approach
Now imagine each electrician needs to sign in separately, view their own schedule, receive assigned jobs, add notes and photographs, complete checklists, record their time and update work progress.
The office also needs to plan routes, track job profitability, send automated customer communication, let customers book work online and connect the system to a wider set of apps.
Jobber already provides that structure
Separate sign-in for each worker
Individual schedules and assigned jobs
Notes, photos and job checklists
Time recording and progress updates
Route planning and job costing in the office
Online work requests and a wider app marketplace
One person handles the main admin
Reusable trade pricing is important
You want fixed-price, hourly and time-and-materials quotes
You want unlimited customers, invoices, catalogue items and bookings on the free plan
You need CIS support
You mainly work from your phone
You want a focused system rather than a broader operations platform
Separate staff users
Individual schedules
Team dispatch
Route planning
Detailed job files
Time tracking
Online booking through Client Hub
Job costing
